My name is Estefanía Romero Morillo, and I am a teacher at the Waldorf Girasol School since 2015.
I discover my calling as part of an “incidental” work with groups of infants and decided to train myself worried about the attention that infants required. Such a fact leads me to my study at the Spanish university as well as the Chilean one where I lead my curriculum towards respect and development: motor skills, motivational and natural in infancy. After graduation, the answers I came across were partial ones. This fact leads me to different alternatives to regulated schooling in communities, farms and alternative schools. Finally, I came across Waldorf pedagogy which held and sufficed my personal expectations and professional expectations as its coherence in its doing, feeling and thinking.
It convinced me the concrete and profound study of the misuses and misinterpreted freedom; the meticulous individual observation of human biography as well as its follow up, especially of the infancy taken from the integrated individual and social paradigms.
It was in Chile where I was fortunate enough to find the guidance of a renowned teacher, trainer, and translator of the Waldorf pedagogy, apart from actively living a full year in a Kindergarten and secondary Waldorf school. These were living examples of commitment as regards holistic education. Nurturing and motivated experiences of my present enthusiasm. I continue currently my training.
Once back in Spain coincidences of life made a friend of mine speak of a Waldorf School in Seville which was looking for a teacher. I found a solid family project which multiplies since I knew them thanks to their dedication and commitment.
